Uniform

School Uniform Expectations
The school expects every child to conform to the following school dress code:
- Black trousers, skirt or tailored shorts (Black tracksuit bottoms are acceptable in EYFS only)
- Girls may choose to wear purple/white gingham summer dresses during appropriate weather conditions
- White polo shirt, which must be tucked in at all times
- Purple Battle Primary Academy jumper with embroidered logo
- Footwear – black shoes - closed heel and toe. No trainers, boots or sandals (Black trainers are acceptable in EYFS only)
- Black/White tights or socks
- Hats can be worn outside during the summer term. However, these must be plain and without large/offensive logos and images
- Purple Battle Primary Academy sweatshirts, P.E. bags and book bags can be purchased from Stevenson's. (address above) Black Battle Primary Academy sweatshirts are optional for Year 6 pupils only.
P.E. Kit:
- All children are required to change their clothes for P.E. lessons for hygiene reasons
- The clothing required for PE is a plain white T-shirt, black shorts/tracksuit with pumps or trainers for outdoor games
- The P.E. kit should be free from logos or offensive slogans
Hair and Accessories:
- Long hair must be tied up using natural hair colour, purple, white or black hair bands
- Plain gold/silver stud earrings may be worn, but must be removed, by the child, for P.E. lessons
- Other jewellery is not permitted unless for religious reasons and with permission from the Principal in the first instance
- No make-up or nail polish is to be worn at all
- Hair should not be dyed nor have patterns shaved/carved into it
General Expectations:
- Due to limited cloakroom space, children should carry their belongings in a Battle Primary Academy drawstring
- P.E. bag or book bag – no other rucksacks/bags are permitted
- All items of personal property should be clearly marked with the child’s full name
- Mobile phones and any items of value should not be brought to school and the school takes no responsibility for these items and are not covered under the school’s insurance policy
